About the Course

This is a THREE year course with graduates receiving NVTI, (National Vocational Training Institute), Foundation (Trade test) or Proficiency I and II certificates. Students learn and study the basic and advanced theories of welding and how to fabricate items such as beds, ovens, grinders and more. They learn how to measure accurately, study the physics and chemistry of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The behaviour of metals under stress and how to prevent welding defects.

  • Metal chairs and tables
  • Metal cabinets
  • Metal containers for stores
  • Fish farming cages
  • Aluminium welding
  • Pipe fitting
  • Installation of LPG equipment

Ability to:

  • Work for a company as a team player
  • Work for an industrial plant as a team player
  • Self employment as a welder
  • Further education to Polytechnic or university
